How to enable Leave a Copy of E-mail on the Server



This walk through will show you how to configure Outlook 2010 to leave a copy of the mail on the Verizon servers.
Click File then Info
Now select the E-Mail account in the Account Information drop down.
Click Account Settings
A drop down. will appear.
Click Account Settings from the drop down




Select the E-Mail account in the list of accounts.
Now click the Change...  button.



It's a good idea to verify the settings on this tab to ensure they are correct.
When completed click More Settings




The general tab will be displayed.
Click the Advanced tab
Review the port information while you are on this tab
To leave a copy of the mail on the server, set the options to the following:
  • Place a check in all three boxes for:
    • Leave a copy of messages on the server
    • Remove from the server after 14 days
    • Remove from server when deleted from Deleted Items
Now click OK
Remind the customer that they can always log into Webmail to delete messages if they need to clear up space




You are returned to the Change Account screen
Click Next
If the Test Account option is set, Outlook 2010 will test the account settings upon exiting this screen




The account settings will be tested
If all tests complete successfully, click Close
If they do not, return and check the settings again



You should receive the Congratulations screen.



You are returned to the Account Settings screen
